Why Kangaroo Leather?

Owners, breeders, and professional dog handlers know that the importance of a quality show lead and appearance is everything! What’s more, kangaroo leather is lighter yet stronger than cowhide leather, is abrasion-resistant with a superior finish, and becomes buttery soft without losing strength or structure. The fibers run horizontally with the skin as opposed to cowhide, which runs randomly making the lead much more flexible.

Our creations include dog leads, collars, and bracelets. All are hand braided from kangaroo leather that has been split as needed to ensure the same thickness of each lace with beveled edges that lay smoothly. Available in custom lengths and colors with an array of quality beads to make your lead unique in the show ring or out in the street. Choose a sturdy metal snap to attach directly to a collar or a loop lead that threads directly onto your favorite chain or choke collar. The comfortable hand loop only gets more comfortable with each use.

Meet Denise

Founded in 1993 at the suggestion of her obedience instructor, Denise began crafting leashes for students attending her classes. With a keen sensitivity to each individual’s creative ideas, she quickly mastered the art of braiding and beading, producing a stunning variety of show leads and collars. As a successful owner, breeder, and exhibitor of champion West Highland White Terriers, Denise garnered significant attention in the conformation arena, as well as in Rally, Agility, and Tracking competitions. Her unique designs are showcased in show rings worldwide, and she is renowned for her exceptional service, superior quality, and innovative designs. In addition to her primary work, Denise also creates handcrafted leather jewelry.
